Review methodology

How ClickTravelTech evaluates travel tools and services.

ClickTravelTech reviews travel technology through an editorial decision framework. We explain what a product or service is designed to do, the traveler needs it may address, the limitations to check, and the alternatives worth considering. We do not publish fabricated scores, star ratings, customer counts or “best” claims without explaining the criteria behind them.

Our standard review criteria

How comparisons work

Comparison pages do not declare a universal winner. We place the durable decision factors side by side — such as route coverage, plan structure, device requirements, flexibility and support path — then describe who each option may suit. Current provider terms can change, so readers should use the live provider page as the final source before a purchase or booking.

How roundups work

Roundups begin with selection criteria rather than a ranking. A service is not included simply because it has an affiliate program. We prioritize options that help readers understand the category and describe the circumstances in which a traveler may prefer a direct provider, a local alternative or no purchase at all.

Affiliate relationships

Some editorial links may be affiliate links and may earn ClickTravelTech a commission if an eligible purchase follows. These relationships are disclosed near commercial content and in our Affiliate Disclosure. Compensation does not entitle a merchant to dictate conclusions, remove limitations or purchase a ranking.

Updates and corrections

We revise a page when we identify a material factual issue or a relevant product, policy or availability change. If you believe information is inaccurate, use our corrections process and include the page URL with supporting detail.
